Over three holistic nights on our Sunshine Coast retreat you will find peace and tranquility in the haven of our home-away-from-home, nestled in an abundant rainforest just 1.5 hours north of Brisbane. As you step into the rainforest flanked Sala and roll out your yoga mat, the decision to take this time for yourself will be rewarded.

Each day there is a unique experience to enjoy. Activities have been carefully curated, and intricately weaved together to leave you feeling, rejuvenated, fulfilled and at peace.

Daily yoga, meditation and breathwork, along with insights into the ancient wellbeing rituals of Ayurveda, will be the foundations of your unparalleled vitality and calm to be found on this retreat. All levels of ability are catered for by renowned international teacher Emily Spurling.

Eat like a yogi on retreat, the majority of our meals are vegan and served in the intimate Rainforest Sala. Meal times are a relaxed but delicious affair showcasing the regions bountiful seasonal and local produce.

Your sense of adventure comes alive, when we embark on a fun-filled food and wine tasting tour of the magnificent hinterland, culminating in dinner at the iconic ‘The Barrel’ restaurant at Clouds Vineyard and topped off by an exceptional artisan chocolate tasting.

In a soulful and creative 2.5 hour workshop you’ll be taken on an inner-journey to discover and draw your spirit guide. No prior meditation or art experience is necessary, simply trust, and let it unfold with the expert guidance of artist and spiritual teacher Sara Thorn.

Free time is yours to explore the quaint, historic townships of Maleny and Montville, take a bush walk to a waterfall, indulge in a luxurious spa treatment or simply relax and soak up the glorious rainforest environment from your veranda or sunken bathtub.

About The Host



Emily Spurling - Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation

Emily's laid back and inclusive approach resonates with first time students and advanced yogis alike. Emily has been recognised as an industry expert and can be found on alongside other wellness exerts such as Deepak Chopra and Jamie Oliver. She is a Yoga teacher and Certified Holistic Health Coach who loves sharing the ultimate toolbox for becoming your best authentic self with the world. Emily is an eternal student of yoga globally and is formally trained in Hatha and Vinyasa flow, having beautifully combined these styles to create her own sought after yoga experience. This 'fusion' style is the perfect blend of light and shade, one flow will have you generating heat and building lean muscle and the next you will be blissing out in a slow, opening restorative sequence.

Emily is also a Thai Masseuse whose hands-on adjustments in class help her students achieve the perfect pose and a state of deep relaxation.

Sara Thorn - Art

Sara Thorn is an artist, designer & yoga teacher. She has been painting for 20 years specialising in watercolours and oils. Sara’s work explores the mystical and whimsical, exploring mythology, Goddess and fictional themes.

Sara is also a textile designer and produces limited edition textile fashion and home-ware collections . She conducts workshops in Australia and internationally on design, creativity & teaching sacred practices. Thorn exhibits her work regularly both locally and internationally, with pieces also held in the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria and the Powerhouse Museum.

Sandra Groves - Sound Healing & Yoga

Sandra’s passion is helping you reach your full potential – mind, body and spirit.

Using a heart-centred approach to yoga teaching and sound healing she will help you connect with the ancient and authentic teachings of yoga, guiding you on your path of Self-discovery, in a safe and nurturing way. She offers a personalised, holistic practice with a focus on mindful movement with the breath, guided relaxation/meditation and blissful, immersive sound healing journeys.

Sandra is a qualified Hatha yoga teacher with over 15 years experience, informed by more than 25 years of her own practice. She has facilitated yoga workshops and retreats in Melbourne, Maleny, Hepburn Springs, Bali and Turkey. She has recently completed her Diploma in Sound Healing.
