Johannes Egberts has led an inspiring life of tremendous self-discovery, enlightenment, and diversity. Through a rocky upbringing, he learned to always look for silver linings, while busing himself with creative endeavours. With an abundance of natural, inquisitive energy, he explored a variety of vocations and has been a Head Chef, Sculptor, and Freediving Instructor, however none managed to sate his appetite for long or fully align with yet undiscovered calling. Then, in one of lifes great twists, he was introduced to something that would change his course forever – controlled breathing. This still relatively unexplored field of well-being & medical science immediately resonated with Johannes, and he was compelled to cultivate a wealth of knowledge on the subject, seeking out brilliant minds such as Wim Hof and Laird Hamilton, among many others.
After equipping himself with the tools and experience needed, Johannes was called to start his own holistic wellness platform - Breathless. Through the ancient teachings of controlled breathing, he endeavours to shed light on a lost art that is beneficial mentally and physically, even spiritually - especially in today’s noisy society, where people are more disconnected from themselves and each other than ever. With world-renowned clientele such as David Goggins, Ludovico Einaudi, A-League Sports Teams, and some of Australia’s largest companies taking note, Breathless has gone from strength to strength and Johannes has even being featured in GQ Magazine and ABC news
As someone who was saved by the simple act of changing his breathing, Johannes has made it his life mission to be a beacon of guidance for those who want to do the same. Throughout this spiritual journey, he has tinkered with countless methodologies and theories, which has enabled him to deliver only the relevant information that will spark real change. The immense exposure breathwork has gotten in recent years has allowed him to speak in front of audiences in excess of 5000 people, with the aim of inspiring them so we can all learn to inhabit the space between each breath.
