Retreat Highlights
Sometimes we just need some time out to rest and the best way to achieve this is to take a retreat away from the household. Restorative Yoga is active rest using props to support and embrace the body. It is designed to support the ability to experience the awareness of just being.
The poses are not intended to stretch or strengthen, the intention is to release deep layers of tension both emotional and muscular. During your stay, our Zen Master Fushin also shares his Tai Chi practice with you. At this retreat, we leave you plenty of time just to relax on the veranda overlooking panoramic views, unlike the Zen Centre's other retreats where there is a continuous flow of activity. Breakfast is between 8 and 9 am allowing you the opportunity to have a slow morning, maybe even a well deserved sleep-in.
You can also choose to have an I Ching reading with Master Fushin or a 20 Minute Reiki with our Yoga Instructor Rose
Rosalie (Mawar) Allan & Fushin Daijo Yin Chao
Rose has been studying yoga, meditation, and massage therapy for over 30 years. She believes in keeping the practice gentle, yet challenging, using her knowledge of both the physical and psychological self.
Fushin began his practice of meditation in the late 1970s and the study of Buddhism in the late 1990s. Ordained as a Zen Buddhist priest, he brings to the program 40 years of knowledge and understanding.
